Simpson Strong-Tie announced today that it’s sponsoring the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE) Foundation’s 10th annual Run for Education on Sunday, April 24. The event provides a carnival-style environment where adults and children of all ages can run or walk to raise funds for schools in the city of Pleasanton, California.
As part of its Silver sponsorship, Simpson Strong-Tie will staff a booth at the race expo to talk about the company’s solutions and products for the building industry, along with product offerings for homeowners and DIYers. PPIE’s mission is to provide supplemental staff, grants, and opportunities for community engagement in the Pleasanton school system. Annually, PPIE serves nearly 15,000 students and provides support to over 800 school teachers and administrators. PPIE also supports STEAM grants as well as programs to engage students with leading businesses in the Pleasanton area.
“Each year, thousands of local runners, walkers and strollers come together to have a great time and to support our Pleasanton schools. We are thrilled to have Simpson Strong-Tie as a sponsor for our 10th annual Run for Education,” said PPIE Executive Director Steve McCoy-Thompson. “The company’s support makes a huge difference as we provide our 14,500 students with STEM programs, key staffing (including reading, math and wellness teachers), and career guidance from companies like yours.”
