Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, will be exhibiting at NASCC: The Steel Conference, April 2–4 in Louisville, Kentucky. During the event, the company will showcase a number of solutions for structural steel—including the new Strong-Link™ moment connection—while providing expertise and product education for erectors and other industry professionals.
Products on display at Booth 441 will include:
• (NEW) Strong-Link moment connection (SLMC): The high-strength SLMC, engineered for wind-governed, low-seismic structures, is a fully bolted solution that eliminates the need for field welding, drastically cutting labor and inspection costs while speeding up frame installation. The SLMC can be easily adjusted in the field using standard steel erection practices, and oversized holes in the link flange ensure optimal alignment at the connection interface between the beam and column.
• QuickFrames pre-engineered structural support systems: QuickFrames bolt-in and drop-in roof frames for commercial construction reinforce roofs in locations where openings have been created to make room for HVAC units and other large equipment. The rail-system frames easily adjust to fill those gaps, adding support to the open areas. The frames are up to 85% faster to install than welded angle iron.
“Backed by more than 65 years of leadership in structural engineering, Simpson Strong-Tie’s innovative products and technologies are designed to help maximize installer efficiency and structural resiliency at every stage of the construction process,” said Chase Sebastian, director of structural steel for Simpson Strong-Tie. “We’re looking forward to connecting with steel industry professionals at NASCC to discuss innovative solutions and how we can provide in-depth education and jobsite support.”
