Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, has hired Kei Bullock, Ph.D., as its new executive vice president of human resources, replacing Jennifer Lutz, who is retiring after 12 years with the company. In this role, Bullock will lead a globally distributed team of about 90 human resources professionals; will oversee all aspects of the HR function, impacting the entire workforce, from frontline employees to senior leaders; and will develop and implement a comprehensive people and talent strategy designed to support the company’s continued growth and ongoing focus on innovation.
Bullock brings to the role more than 20 years of HR leadership experience, in areas including HR business partnership, talent management, organizational effectiveness, leadership development and total rewards. Most recently, she served as vice president of talent acquisition at Northrop Grumman, where she delivered exceptional hiring results globally while significantly improving efficiency.
“Kei has a strong track record of driving strategic, enterprise-wide talent strategies and shaping inclusive, high-performing cultures,” said Mike Olosky, CEO of Simpson Strong-Tie. “I’m confident that her expertise and leadership will make a tremendous impact as we continue to strengthen our culture and talent strategies worldwide.”
“Simpson’s decades-long reputation for leadership, customer service and innovation is built on and sustained by its dedicated team members, from the research lab to the manufacturing floor to jobsites,” Bullock said. “I’m thrilled about the opportunity to work alongside them, further strengthen and enhance internal infrastructures, and continue to build a workplace where our people feel supported, included and empowered to grow and thrive.”
Bullock holds a Ph.D. from Antioch University, an MBA from the University of California Los Angeles and a BA from Rice University.
